Yahoo News seems to think that there's a reason behind Biden's incessant smiling. "By taking his own animation level right through the roof, Biden may have given Obama a little more room to emote on Tuesday, without seeming like he’s overdoing it." What do you think?

This is really interesting. If this is the case then I'm very impressed with Biden. He achieved looking overly animated, and at times, a flat out asshole. If he was taking one for the team here, well, then good on him.
ReplyDeleteI thought he was just trying to emphasize how Paul Ryan can look overly empathetic and sincere at times. Also, I thought he was doing this to intimidate his young opponent.
This other view is much more interesting though. I'll be paying attention to Obama's mannerisms and animation in the next debate.
